Product Review: Alpha Hydroxy Face Cream

I wish I could come up with more powerful words than FABULOUS, UNREAL, AMAZING but I can't. I cannot believe the results of using the Walgreen's brand of alpha hydroxy face $6.99, I thought I would give it a shot.

I have been using it for about a week and a half now and my skin has NEVER looked like this...ever. Normally, I wouldn't paste a no-makeup-face-with-an-orange-towel-on-my-head picture, but in this case, I feel so strongly about this cream that I have to show you my face in the buff!
The dry cheeks have disappeared!!!!
A much smoother and even complexion and NO REDNESS!.
POW...I am in your face!!!!
I cleanse my face at night with Oil of Olay Sensitive Skin face wash and then apply this cream...sparingly! In the morning, I rinse off my face with only water and apply Oil of Olay Sensitive Beauty Fluid. I have found that this combination has done wonders for my skin.

Below is the link to the product at...just look at all the fantastic reviews too!!

Product Review: Wet N' Wild Color Icon Trio

After reading a review on Wet N' Wild's new make-up introductions, I decided to stop by Walgreen's and try out some of their new Color Icon eyeshadow pallets. (I remember wearing Wet N' Wild back in junior high when it was the hottest thing!)
"Dream if Greenie" - $2.99 at Walgreens

I tried not to go too heavy since I tend to do that with my make-up (applied in a poorly lit bathroom!). I think I could have gone a little heavier but overall, I liked the way it came out. A green pallet is not something I would normally gravitate to, but I wanted to try something NEW and out of my "comfort zone."

Mom and my mother-in-law gave me the OK too!

(Plus, I could not beat getting 3 shadows for $2.99!)

NOT a good look for me...

I went to JCPenney a few nights ago in search of a few brightly colored tops to spruce up my wardrobe. Since I love the hot new color for Spring/Summer 2011, I decided to try on this coral top. You can see by the progression of time in the dressing room that things did not turn out as I would have liked:

1. This blouse looked pretty on the hanger...
2. ...but not so much on me.
4. Trying to wrangle this thing over my head.
5. The back of my head with the blouse wrapped around it.
After I managed to rip this blouse completely off, it ended up in a MANGLED MESS in the corner of the dressing room floor. (However, I did fix it and put it back on the hanger...)

A little retail therapy...

After the economic mess of 2009-2010, I was soooooooooo incredibly thankful to have been positively SWAMPED at work this past week. Things are really picking up in 2011...YEEEE HOOOOO!

With that being said, I decided to indulge in a bit of shopping. Here are my goodies:

Sears: Belinda sandals by Apostrophe

Bath & Body Works: White Citrus (I like the clean scented Sea Island Cotton)

Bath & Body Works: *NEW* scent called Country Chic

Dillard's: Free form gold nugget necklace...I got it for $7.50!!!!
Macy's: Style & Co blouse
(it never hurts to spend a little of your "secret-from-the-hubby" money...shhhhhh.)

Fashion Review: Simply Vera Tank Tops at Kohl's

I have fallen in LOVE with the Simply Vera Wang tank tops carried by Kohl's. They fit nicely, are long enough so you don't look like you are rockin' a belly shirt and are super soft. Here are a few pics of thier current designs:

Gold Wire Wrapped Pearl Ring

This DIY gold wire and pearl ring has quickly become one of my FAVE pieces. It took me a few tries but I am super happy with the result:
I used a 10mm white Swarosvki pearl & 18 gauge non-tarnish gold wire.

Monogram MANIA at Old Time Pottery

On Friday, I took my Dad with me over to Old Time Pottery and was smacked in the face with all of the monogrammed stuff for sale. (I have a very close friend who loves monogrammed anything and I am slowly following in her footsteps!) The prices were INSANE!!!!!

Here is what they had:

I picked up a "K" for myself
Super cute...but I don't have anywhere these could go!
I already received tags a few years ago from my "monogram friend"
I picked up a "K" and a "J" for hubby and I
Sooooo inexpensive!!!!
Even though these were darling, I could not come home with another coffee mug!
(disregard above note!) I thought about grabbing the last "K" but it was lop-sided!
I know if I bought these, I would not want anyone to use them!
With these cheapo prices, I could have gone CRAZY but I don't think anyone would understand why I cover my house with "K" accessories!!!
